John V. Doull, Vice President of Commercial Loans, graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Business Finance. Married for over 8 years, his personal passion of supporting his four children in their unique life journeys crosses over to his professional life of 12 years in the banking field. He really enjoys the life cycle of helping start-up businesses build from the ground up to become successful endeavors. John K. Doull, President, and CEO of Cornerstone Bank is a man dedicated to fulfilling accomplishments. John has two passions, spending quality time with his wife and working at the bank. He has 35 years of banking experience. He started a dream of becoming a small business owner in the basement of his home and is blessed to be in the position now to help small business owners live their dreams. Chuck Whittaker, Commercial Loan Officer with Cornerstone Bank, knows commitment. A husband of 33 years, he also has 32 years of loan experience where he is passionate about answering customer’s questions quickly and thoroughly. Chuck’s bucket list includes the opportunity to play golf on a prime piece of real estate such as Pebble Beach. Speaking of real estate, he would love to connect with you to share his specialized knowledge in real estate lending, processing, and underwriting to help you acquire your perfect piece of real estate.
Michelle Guthrie, Executive Vice President, is passionate about spending time with her family, which include her two English Bulldogs. Her biggest accomplishment has been raising her children and her favorite vacation was a cruise to Bermuda spent with her entire family to celebrate her parent’s 50th wedding anniversary.
She is a pro with fine details from needle pointing to target shooting. Michelle makes relationships a priority and that includes relationships built at work. Cornerstone Bank is her second family. She started in banking at age 15, raised her family and has been at Cornerstone Bank for 15 years. She would love to build a relationship with you and find a solution for your banking needs.
Mike Fugate, Compliance Officer at Cornerstone Bank, has been in the banking field for five years with three of those years being in Compliance. He loves researching and solving problems to make sure the bank stays in compliance with applicable laws. As a dedicated lifelong learner, Mike received his M.B.A. from the University of Kansas in 2016, and subsequently obtained his CAMS certification the same year. He currently has his eye on a couple of different compliance certifications for the near future. Favorite adventures include family trips to Disneyland, as well as, cabin stays in Lake Tahoe. His hobbies include fishing, weight training and playing golf. Mike hopes his next adventures will include finding a diamond at Arkansas Diamond Mine and a trip with his wife to the Caribbean.
Vickie Fastnacht loves being outdoors and has had many adventures. She has hiked through the Hawaiian Islands from bamboo forests, down into the Haleakala volcano, to Waimea Canyon, and up to the waterfalls of Hana. Her bucket list includes a trip to Israel. Closer to home she loves to walk outside or work on her home landscape. Her biggest accomplishment, however, has been raising her three daughters.
Professionally, Vickie is passionate about striving for excellence and being of service to others. She has spent 24 years working in the banking field with 19 of those years in the Commercial Loan area. Her idea of the perfect client is any person or business she can build a relationship with by learning about their story and what is important to them. Vickie responds with quick and informed responses to phone calls or answering any questions they may have when they stop by Cornerstone Bank.
Bob Titus, Chief Financial Officer for Cornerstone Bank believes in doing the best job he can do and being the best person he can be. This philosophy extends to the workplace where most of Bob’s clients are his co-workers. Bob helps them solve any issues they have related to operating the bank. He has 25 years of experience in banking. Asked about his biggest accomplishment, Bob says that he tries to focus on the big picture, but to motivate himself, he reflects on his past accomplishments. Some of Bob’s fondest recent memories include a trip to Disneyworld with daily morning walks on the beach. He looks forward to visiting Scotland, Ireland, the Vatican and watching the Olympics in person. For now, when he is not working, you can find him in the kitchen cooking up some wonderful dish or working out in his yard.
Mark Clemmons, Vice President Treasury Management, has been helping customers in the banking field for 17 years. Mark says not one day has been the same for him. He is passionate about getting to know and working with Cornerstone Bank customers. Mark helps customers set up their office with the technology they need up to their comfort level. When Mark isn’t assisting customers by phone or in the lobby, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 26 years and their two sons, taking their two dogs to the dog park or lounging on the sofa watching reruns of 1970 and 80’s TV shows. Matt Doull, Assistant Vice President of Commercial Loans, holds a bachelor of science degree in economics from Texas Christian University. The first seven years of his banking career were spent in the Dallas/Fort Worth area prior to moving home to Kansas City. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his friends/family and staying active.
Shelly Holle, Human Resources Officer, holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and moved to Kansas City in 2019 with 22 years of HR experience. She has vast knowledge in the benefits industry and works every day to improve HR procedures and strategies. Understanding that an employee’s work experience has a profound effect on their lives, as a whole, she strives to create a positive experience for every employee. Prior to moving to Kansas City, Shelly used her skill sets to support non-profit organizations and intends to make an impact volunteering in KC as well.
Shelly is an avid concert-goer, loves attending sporting events and live theater, and can often be found exploring off the beaten path places with camera in hand. A lifelong hobby photographer, she falls somewhere between confused amateur and promising amateur. Although she prefers to be on the go, at home Shelly loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.
